i met the S family at lincoln park on a beautiful, fall afternoon in october. the air was crisp + cool. the light perfect. as they filed out of the van one by one, i became more and more enamored. this family was picture perfect in every way — gorgeous mom, dad immaculately dressed + three absolutely stunning children!

we walked into the park and i realized that what i saw of this lovely family on the outside, was actually a reflection of what was happening on the inside. i had the best time capturing them — learning more about each of their personality as we moved through the park and down to the beach. it was quite chilly, but they marched on playing + smiling all the way.

i always ask my clients to bring chapstick to their session, so they don’t have dry lips in their photos. about half-way through the shoot the chapstick came out. everyone got chapstick. it made it’s way to the youngest daughter and never made it back into the bag. she was in chopstick heaven. i don’t imagine there has ever been a more nourished set of little lips + i love it!
